Rocco Forte Hotels Keep Crime and Punishment in the Collection
It is not just a shared dedication to providing a luxury five-star service that unites The Rocco Forte Collection; the buildings themselves have a natural affinity with one another. For in their past incarnations, a few unscrupulous visitors to Rocco Forte's Hotel de Rome in Berlin, which was previously the headquarters of the Dresdner Bank, may well have ended up in Rocco Forte's Hotel Amigo in Brussels, which is housed in the city's former prison!

Hotel de Rome, which opened last week (12 October), Hotel Amigo and all of The Rocco Forte Collection offer a breathtaking level of luxury and service in the most stylish surroundings. Within Hotel de Rome's historic 19th century walls, designer Tommaso Ziffer, who also decorated Rocco Forte's Hotel de Russie, has created a beautiful and unique interior. Skilfully and sympathetically integrating the old bank's more idiosyncratic features, the hotel is a fusion of contemporary chic and old-world Teutonic grandeur.
Hotel de Rome is located on the Bebelplatz, at the very heart of Berlin, surrounded by the city's most dynamic and elegant cultural institutions. Flanked by the Staatsoper unter den Linden and the Humboldt University Library, and only moments from the Brandenburg Gate, the hotel's guests are perfectly placed to explore all the excitement of the German capital.
Hotel de Rome has 146 beautifully designed bedrooms and suites; each bedroom is fitted with discreetly concealed state of the art technology, including flat screen televisions, with iPod docking stations being available on request in all the suites.
